The tool of choice for software developers not tied to a specific IDE. Powerful, extraordinarily customizable, and can be complex. SublimeText: commercial, just a touch slower and less reliable than BBEdit, but much more customizable. This is the trusted friend you call when you just want to hang with beers, or need to bury a body. Nothing else I’ve used can do that, they just crash. It groans (metaphorically), but doesn’t crash.
